As an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading the development of new products that help protect users hearing and enable communication
- Performing electronic design, development, test and verification of new products
- Working with a team of top-notch engineers and collaborate across design and integration teams
- Helping to configure and integrate tools for improved hardware and test development flow
- Planning and managing your work to meet project plans, timelines and deliverables
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
- Experience coding with C, C++, Python
- Experience with wireless technologies such as: BT/BLE/ISM band radios
- Experience with electro-acoustic design and validation
- Experience with intrinsic safety design techniques
- Experience performing component level testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
- Possess a strong understanding of circuit design, hardware integration, and verification/validation
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g. Altium Designer)
- Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Excellent communication and teamwork
Work Location:
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Indianapolis, IN at least 2 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $95,825 - $117,120, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
