Summary:
Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is looking for Computer Hardware Engineer–Advanced to join our team in the Patuxent River area. This team supports a Department of Defense (DoD) client.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform programmatic or technical leadership roles in an organization identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
- Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the development of advanced complex systems and when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.
- Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use.
- Experience in computer systems/network design across physical platforms, boundaries, and data transfer/transport methods.
- May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
- May oversee or inspect the performance and quality of junior or journey-level employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MA/MS degree and 7+ years relevant experience OR
- High school diploma or GED, CNSSI/NTSSI 4015-Systems Certifiers/4016-Risk Analysts, and 7+ years relevant experience OR
- High school diploma or GED, active CSWF Code 451, 632, 651, 652 certifications or CISSP and CASP+, and 7+ years relevant experience
- Active Top Secret clearance required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to obtain SCI eligible
- Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
- Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
- Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
- Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
- Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
