Job Description

This is a 2nd shift position – 3:30pm-11:30pm

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering discipline.

Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of a team including engineers, union technicians, and mechanics to troubleshoot and resolve test equipment issues for 9 Emissions Chassis Dynamometer test cells, 2 SHEDs, and other emissions testing equipment.
2. Perform Quality Control and Calibration activities to satisfy regulatory and internal department requirements, including tracking and documentation.
3. Analyze data with attention to detail.
4. Collaborate with diverse groups of engineers, supervisors, and UAW personnel.
5. Manage multiple jobs and projects simultaneously.
6. Conduct root cause analysis.
7. Utilize ETAS/INCA and HORIBA analyzer bench software.
8. Handle PEMS and RDE certification, LDV knowledge, data post processing, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive testing, preferably with Vehicle or Engine Emissions testing equipment, including chassis dynamometers, analyzers, instrumentation, sampling systems, data acquisition (National Instrument Devices), PLCs, and Diesel/GDI Particulate Sampling.
2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and G Suite.
3. Self-motivated with good communication skills.
4. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. 100% Onsite – Chelsea Proving Grounds.
