Responsibilities:

• Operate a power electronics and battery lab by
  • Keeping material stocked, tools organized and maintained, workspaces clean
  • Implement rules and regulations to keep the lab safe and productive
• Run experiments defined by engineers
• Make prototype parts given instructions from engineers

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• 3 years experience in a senior lab technician or lab manager role
• Strong tendency to clean, organize, and discard old material from an engineering lab setting
• Comfortable working knowledge of electricity
• Strong get-it-done fabrication skills - i.e. build a power supply rack, hang a shelf, wire up a thermal chamber
• Comfortable running tests on high voltage (240 V AC, 600 V DC) and power electronics using software control and data logging
• Experience writing test reports and conducting experiments
• HS Diploma or equivalent
