HR Generalist Job at Ottimo Resources in Fair Lawn

Leading Freight Forwarder is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join the HR department. The HR Generalist will provide human resource support when it comes to internal investigations/incidents, project management, onboarding new employees, recruitment efforts, etc.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (ON-SITE)

Responsibilities:

1. Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections
2. Generating official internal documents
3. Creating onboarding plans and educating new hires on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
4. Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
5. Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
6. Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees to maintain CSR standards conscripted by authorities
7. Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly
8. Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances

Requirements:

1. 2+ years experience with Microsoft Excel and utilizing formulas
2. 2+ years experience in Human Resources
3. 2+ years experience with Sharepoint and ADP
4. Spanish is a PLUS
5. Bachelors Degree in HR is a PLUS
