HR Generalist
We are in search of a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to enhance our dynamic team. This pivotal role supports the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will act as a linchpin in our HR operations, integrating strategic workforce planning with hands-on management of day-to-day HR tasks.
Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster relationships across departments to support employee relations and offer counseling as required.
- Conduct interviews, assist in recruitment processes, and develop job-specific interview questions.
- Analyze HR data to inform policy making and procedural implementations.
- Handle and resolve employee complaints with proper documentation and timely actions.
- Update and revise personnel policies and maintain the employee handbook.
- Set HR department goals and develop innovative methods to enhance departmental efficiency and service.
- Assist in managing internal investigations and maintain compliance with employment laws.
- Maintain accurate records in the human resource information system (HRIS).
- Design and deliver training programs and oversee professional development of employees.
- Manage daily operations of benefit programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Promote workplace safety and health by engaging in wellness initiatives.
- Stay updated on HR best practices by attending seminars and meetings.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Capability to work independently on diverse human resources projects.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a similarly sized or larger organization.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS software.
- Experience with union and non-union environments.
- Familiarity with global employment laws and practices.
