We are seeking an HR Manager, based in Ranson WV, to join the North American Human Resources Team. This position is onsite, full time and provides human resources services to all salaried and hourly employees at our Ranson, WV manufacturing facility.

Your Future Team

Reporting to the Director of HR, North America, you'll join a dynamic team where you can utilize your strong customer service and employee relations skills combined with your technical HR background to impact a highly engaged workforce.

What You Will Be Doing

Policies & Procedures

  • Train and coach factory management and supervisors to implement new policies
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop, update, and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures for salaried and hourly employees

Labor Relations

  • Ensure compliance with employment standards
  • Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation

Systems & Analysis

  • Expertise using Day Force and/or Workday, or other HRIS system, to optimize HR systems and processes
  • Develop reporting and analysis recommendations to measure program effectiveness, planning, and decision making
  • Gather and analyze data and trends to determine key organizational needs and facilitate decision making with unique, proactive solutions that solve these needs

Wage & Salary Administration

  • Work with Total Rewards to research salary data for direct and indirect roles
  • Support the Operations Director with requisitions, performance reviews, and salary review processes

Benefits Administration and Claims Management

  • Collaborate with the Total Rewards Team to manage short- and long-term disability claims, minimizing costs and duration
  • Facilitate reimbursements for employee programs (e.g., tuition reimbursement, hybrid car program, fitness benefits)
  • Work with the H&S Manager to coordinate Return to Work programs for injured or disabled employees
  • Work with Total Rewards to provide benefits information to all factory employees

Recruitment

  • Develop and enhance new employee orientation programs
  • Create and maintain site manning plan
  • Participate in interviews with hiring manager for salaried level positions
  • Coach hiring managers to ensure compliance during interview process

Employee Development and Retention

  • Identify and support internal candidates for career advancement
  • Assess training needs and recommend appropriate courses, seminars, and materials
  • Assist in delivering internal training programs to enhance employee skills

Legislative Compliance

  • Stay updated on employment legislation and ensure organizational compliance
  • Communicate relevant legislative changes to management

Communication

  • Maintain updated and accurate communication boards in the factory
  • Participate in Communication meetings

General

  • Contribute to bi-annual People Meetings and provide relevant input
  • Lead Performance Management program for indirect employees, ensuring timely goal setting and reviews
  • Oversee the performance evaluation process for direct employees through supervisors

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
  • Mandatory: Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressive human resources positions with managerial experience preferred
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects within deadlines
  • High drive, commitment and self-driven professional
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
