Position Summary
The primary purpose of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to serve as a HR strategic partner and human resources consultant on various HR subjects and employee-related issues to assigned markets and HR partners. The HRBP works highly independently and can navigate through complex HR related topics, providing appropriate guidance and support. The HRBP assists with the development and growth of the HR Field Resources and HR Admin/Generalist team within the Company it supports. This role is assigned to support our Washington market.

About the Opportunity

  • Regularly communicate with leaders to understand the human resources needs of assigned markets.
  • Analyze human resources data to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Offer coaching and advice on employee relations, performance management, and employment terminations.
  • Provide expertise on federal and state labor laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Train HR/Payroll Representatives within assigned markets in HR procedures and Workday business processes.
  • Identify training/development needs and act as a liaison with Learning & Development for company-specific training.
  • Assist with the onboarding of key leaders within assigned markets.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing for leadership and resource openings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Market Leaders, Clinical Market Leaders, AITs, Executive Directors, and Directors of Nursing Services.
  • Analyze HR data, including employee satisfaction scores, exit interviews, and turnover statistics, and recommend actions as necessary.
  • Investigate HR-related complaints, document resolutions, and report incidents of non-compliance or high-risk situations.
  • Create or revise HR policies, procedures, and related documents/forms.
  • Periodically audit selected HR activities or policies/processes to ensure consistency and recommend improvements.
  • Facilitate HR processes associated with acquisitions in assigned markets.
  • Monitor the implementation and administration of Affirmative Action Programs within assigned companies.
  • Contribute to Human Resources Department and Market annual goals.
  • Report incidents of non-compliance or high-risk situations to higher HR authorities.

Qualifications and Specific Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of HR/Leadership experience or 5 years of HR/Leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or successful demonstration of partnering with business leaders to drive HR business strategy and effective people outcomes.
  • HRCI or SHRM Certified Professional preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential matters, maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical mind, with problem solving skills, an aptitude for accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks/demands simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Computer savvy (MS Word, MS Outlook & Excel).
  • Ability to be flexible, be readily adaptable, and work in a rapidly and constantly changing environment.
  • Move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • 70% travel to facilities on a weekly basis, providing support onsite in all areas of skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
  • Directly interacts with all individuals encountered in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility such as employees, residents, visitors, and government agency representatives under all conditions and circumstances and may encounter hostile and emotionally upset employees, residents, and visitors.
  • Follows all facility policies and procedures (e.g., infection control) that apply to visitors.

Additional Information

Wage Rate: $75,000 - $95,000 DOE; may be eligible for bonus
