People Sr. HRBP - US Operations

Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is hiring for a People Sr. HRBP - US Operations to work remote in the United States!

Job Summary/ Purpose

The People Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) is a pivotal partner in driving the People strategy for U.S. Operations, directly reporting to the People Sr. Manager for US Growth Projects & Operations. In this role, the Sr. HRBP implements HR initiatives that align with both global and U.S. objectives, advancing talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance across multiple chemical sites in multiple states.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategic HR Partnership
    • Act as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, aligning HR solutions with immediate and long-term business needs.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and COEs to implement HR initiatives that support workforce trends, objectives, and organizational priorities.
  2. Talent Management & Workforce Planning
    • Execute workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies including interviewing and supporting managers in effective selection to meet dynamic needs and ensure continuity.
  3. Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Manage employee relations matters, handling complex issues with professionalism and in alignment with organizational policies and labor laws.
    • Ensure HR processes and procedures adhere to DOE, OFCCP, and state/local regulatory standards, partnering with Legal and Compliance teams as needed.
  4. Change Management & Organizational Development
    • Support change management efforts in collaboration with stakeholders to enhance adaptability and ensure smooth transitions.
  5. People Foundations
    • Cultivate Innovation and Collaboration: Promote a workplace culture aligned with Orbia’s values of innovation, agility, and collaboration to drive employee engagement and organizational success.
  6. HR Analytics & Metrics
    • Utilize HR metrics to track KPIs (e.g., turnover, engagement, time-to-hire) and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (MBA), or Organizational Development preferred.
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent) preferred.

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • Minimum of 8 years in an HR role, such as HRBP, Sr. HRBP or HR leader, with broad experience across multiple core HR functions, such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, compensation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience managing HR in multi-site, regulated industries (i.e. chemical or manufacturing).
  • Proven ability to manage complex HR challenges and support operations within a dynamic and regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employment law, labor relations, and compliance.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HR ERP software (i.e. Success Factors).
  • This position may require occasional travel to different operational sites and offices.

Relocation Sponsorship:

  • Flour and Energy Materials will not cover international/ national relocation.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $121,000 to $196,000 annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare coverage, a 401(k)-retirement savings plan, paid company holidays, paid vacation time, paid sick time, parental leave, short- and long-term disability leave, and an employee assistance program.
