Shifts: 5-9:30 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday/Sunday availability

The Donation Attendant position provides an opportunity in a retail setting to excel in a growing, fast-paced, customer/donor-focused role, working both independently and as a member of a team to positively impact the lives of others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Accept donations with a cheerful and pleasant disposition.
2. Unload and sort materials in the donation area according to GWH guidelines.
3. Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
4. Greet each customer and assist with basic questions.
5. Assist with keeping production supplies available.
6. Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
7. Assist with the security and safety of GWH Team Members and property.
8. Perform necessary janitorial work.
9. Demonstrate professionalism and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.
10. Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
11. Must be punctual and have dependable attendance.
12. Must conduct work in a safe manner; maintain good housekeeping standards, ensure all aisles and pathways to fire exits are clear and free from clutter, and keep work areas neat and clean.
13. Must report all work incidents and injuries immediately.
14. Adhere to all GWH policies and procedures.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
2. Retail sales experience is preferred.
3. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
4. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
5. Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift/move items up to 100 lbs. (e.g., large bags of donations, televisions, furniture, etc.). Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
