Role Overview:

Exercise planners are key components in the organization’s strategy to improve cyber preparedness and reduce risk. Cyber Exercise Planners contribute to the training and coordination between various cyber security organizations and the bank's lines of business. The planner will design, execute, and facilitate cyber-focused exercises to identify opportunities for improvement to the bank’s strategic framework. They will work with key partners to design threat scenarios, identify participants, and execute the exercise against the planned scenarios.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design multiple exercises based on a rolling 12-month forecast.
  2. Receive broad exposure across multiple organizational units and levels of leadership.
  3. Navigate successfully across organizational lines.

Desired Skills:

  1. Problem Solving: The ability to draw upon past knowledge and experiences to find a solution and define a path of action.
  2. Cybersecurity Proficiency: Basic knowledge of cyber security threats, issues, and security controls.
  3. Facilitation: Ability to manage a large virtual audience and guide a planned exercise to accomplish established goals and objectives.
  4. Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills in both group and individual settings.
  5. People Skills: Comfortable collaborating with various levels of management to effectively plan an exercise.
  6. Data Capture & Analysis: Ability to quickly assimilate complex discussions to identify and capture risk.
  7. Risk Management: Understanding of risk management concepts.
