Job Description:
Pacific Coast Hospitality has been retained to search for a Restaurant Chef de Cuisine for our client, a high volume and award winning Asian restaurant located in the heart of downtown Seattle, WA. This Asian fusion restaurant has been voted #1 Most Popular Restaurant in the Pacific Northwest Region for 14 consecutive years, as well as being listed as one of Zagat’s “Best Restaurants in the World”. Their house-made food offerings feature freshly prepared, authentic cuisine that spans the eastern Pacific Rim, from China to Indonesia, and Malaysia to Vietnam. They also boast a lively bar, Wine Spectator Grand Award winning wine list, and accommodating service in a sophisticated downtown setting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years high volume catering experience and 7+ years total culinary experience
- Culinary degree from an accredited hospitality school preferred
- Experience with developing recipes with the ability to tailor to concept cuisine specialties
- Experienced in managing inventory of food and kitchen supplies, delivery scheduling, ordering
- Ability to work with the Executive Chef on menu planning and development, plate design, composition
- BUSY environment, candidate must have the energy and mental toughness to succeed
- Ability to work with the front of the house and staff at all levels with diverse backgrounds and experience
- Ability to lead a team of people with varying degrees of background and experiences
- Ability to coach staff for development
Salary Range and Benefits:
- Salary – $65k – $85k (starting, based on experience level)
