3K Family Child Care Network Family Worker

Department: Early Childhood

Reports to: 3K Family Child Care Network Educational Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support family services under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.
2. Support family activities under the guidance of the Network Director and Educational Director.
3. Address individual family needs, provide referrals and resources, and design monthly parent engagement activities in collaboration with the Educational Director and Educational Specialist.
4. Responsible for student recruitment, student applications, and delivering student applications to the Department of Education’s Field Office.
5. Manage data in the MySchools System.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Belief in people’s ability to grow and change; ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.

4. Follow employee screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.
5. Provide employees with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk.
6. Provide employees with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with clients.
7. Require employees to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
8. Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s progressive disciplinary procedures.
9. Respond seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
10. Communicate to all employees the organization’s commitment to protecting their clients from abuse.
11. Report essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors.
