Position: Maintenance Worker – College Facilities
Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Hourly Rate: $16 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

1. Use small hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, mechanical equipment, and materials common to the maintenance trade to maintain and repair college facilities.
2. Interpret blueprints, schemes, sketches, or schematics related to the college's buildings and infrastructure.
3. Manage inventory and maintain a clean, organized shop environment for efficient operations.
4. Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of facilities, ensuring a safe and functional campus environment.

Qualifications:

1. HVAC/plumbing/electrical experience.
2. Computer literacy is required for tracking work orders, inventory, and scheduling tasks.
3. Proficient in managing inventory and ensuring that the workspace and equipment are neat and well-organized.
4. Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively documenting maintenance work.
5. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and remain self-motivated in a high-energy environment typical of a busy college campus.
6. Able to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks and solving problems quickly to minimize disruption to campus activities.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, including staff, students, and faculty.
8. Demonstrates respect for and engagement with individuals from various cultural and social backgrounds.
9. Flexible, friendly, and able to maintain a positive attitude when interacting with the campus community.
