Production Coordinator, Live Sports Production
This is a Full Time position in the field of Production Coordinator / Project Management, located in Culver City, CA.
The position pays $50,300.00 — $107,600.00 per year.
DESCRIPTION: Come and be a part of Amazon's dynamic Live Sports Production Team! We are looking for a Production Coordinator to support the Production Operations team on live event productions across multiple sports properties. The Production Operations team is responsible for delivering high quality event productions on all global live sports properties to customers worldwide, across all Prime Video product lines and devices.
Key job responsibilities:
- Use your production management and operational experience to support new property launches and year-over-year sports property restarts.
- Assist and support (home-based and on the road when needed) the day-to-day operations of event logistics, production content, and business operations.
- Work closely with the Production Managers and Production Operations team to ensure the property lifecycles are on track.
- Implement best practices and Amazon policies across projects to maintain effective workflows and delivery of projects.
- Provide support and assistance to the Production Executives, Sr. Production Operations Manager, and Production Manager in the planning phases of all event production.
- Act as a liaison and interface with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and Production Service Partners (PSPs) to facilitate all aspects of event logistics.
- Assist in creating and implementing mechanisms and processes (e.g., standard operating procedures, management of trackers, department templates, agendas, production guidelines, production manuals).
- Support the Production Operations team during each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Assist with pre-production planning, supporting scheduling of personnel, coordinating travel logistics for the Live Production team and Talent.
- Provide administrative assistance in whatever capacity is needed.
- Assist with the preparation and communication of event production information to the team.
- Participate in recruiting, selecting, and training key personnel.
- Work closely with creative partners and internal asset management teams regarding show related IP and creative aspects.
- Assume production-related on-site roles when needed (i.e., stage manager, production assistants/runner duties).
- Assess cost standards and maintain show budgets.
- Assist in reconciling event budgets in conjunction with Sr. Production Operations Managers and/or Production Managers.
- Assist in organizing production summits and workshops for the Live Sports team.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical. The successful candidate thinks strategically, can handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines in an ambiguous and highly pressurized environment. The successful candidate optimizes cross-team processes and assists in ongoing process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of studio or production company assistant experience.
- 1+ years of on-set physical production experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with above-the-line and below-the-line unions and guilds.
- 2+ years of experience in production management or production operations at a sports broadcast network; experience maintaining project budgets, inclusive of budget tracking, cost reporting, and invoice approvals; and experience working in Excel and/or Smartsheet systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of digital media space including handling of all types of media equipment experience.
- Experience managing events/meetings in a global company.
- 2+ years of experience supporting launches and delivering results in a live sports production coordinator role; broadcast or remote production experience assisting in overseeing 100+ personnel on high profile/large-scale events; experience working with production vendors, live production crews/personnel, and broadcast media partners; basic knowledge and understanding on procurement of technical and broadcast equipment; and basic understanding of interpreting production service agreements, statements of work, and commercial contracts.
