Job Description

An industry leader in turn-key chemical blending, toll manufacturing, and private label packaging services is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has strong supervisory skills with experience in production processes and knowledge of operating machinery. Communicating effectively, the new team member will improve operational efficiency by ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and achieving production goals in alignment with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, organize, and oversee the blending & filling/packaging of chemical products.
  • Ensure that all production is completed in accordance with established quality and production standards.
  • Evaluate production employees driving accountability in performance.
  • Organize, schedule, prioritize, and communicate daily activities to meet demand.
  • Ensure that processes are completed according to company standards and specifications.
  • Make safety a priority daily for themselves & team members.
  • Complete related paperwork, reports, and support functions.
  • Inform management of any significant problems, issues, or concerns.
  • Ensure operating discipline in the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, secure, and well-maintained work area.
  • Review and update production policies and procedures regularly.
  • Establish and maintain good communication and working relations with company personnel.
  • Provide suggestions for improved performance.
  • Lead projects to drive safety, quality, & productivity improvements.
  • Communicate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure appropriate supply levels.
  • Assist with other production activities as needed.
  • Use ERP system for effective production planning, scheduling, & accounting.
  • Responsible for inventory management processes.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent (minimum).
  • Strong supervisory abilities with at least three years of chemical production (or related) supervisory experience.
  • Prior knowledge of formulating, testing, and inspecting various chemical products.
  • Knowledgeable of and able to operate production machinery.
  • Quality orientation and attention to detail.
  • Solid decision-making skills.
  • Competent computer skills including basic MS office functions; ERP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
