Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our automotive manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of production staff. This role requires strong mechanical/technical knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a manufacturing facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
• Supervise and train production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Oversee the assembly and manual processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve any production issues.
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order for safe operation.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, coordinating with the warehouse as needed.
• Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant.
• Responsible for on-time and efficient plant production planning in coordination with the supporting departments.
• Optimization of quality control within production department.
• Implementation of OEE concept.
• Responsible for 5S System.
• Assure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
• Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
• Responsible for the production quality control of the plant.
• Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
• Conduct employee performance reviews.
• Select and train plant supervisory staff.
• Launch new customer projects.
• Development, negotiation and management of production equipment, tooling and supplies.
• Provide technical customer support.
• Has the authorization to stop production to avoid manufacturing of defective or potentially defective components.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience using power tools and hand tools.
• Familiarity with assembly line processes within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assemble and inspect components according to specifications.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on safety and quality assurance.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members and management.
• Leadership experience and organization with people.
• Bachelor's Degree related to field.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or job-related experience with fundamental knowledge about the coordination and supervision of departments.
• Knowledge in the fields of machining and casting of aluminum components.
• 3+ years’ experience in the automotive industry and the technical and quality requirements.

Must have valid driver’s license.

Some understanding of German language skills a plus (written and oral).

Metric drawing reading skills required.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $99,895.00 per year
