Position Overview:
The Production Lead is crucial to Flexpak’s daily operations, supporting the Production Manager in ensuring production goals are met through efficient processes and motivated team members. This role requires technical expertise and leadership abilities to drive performance, maintain Flexpak’s high standards, and foster a customer-centric work environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Act as a hands-on leader, readily jumping in to meet Flexpak’s commitment to superior customer service and satisfaction.
- Track daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Daily Production Rates (DPR), and report progress to management.
- Enforce OSHA and Flexpak safety standards rigorously to maintain a compliant and safe workplace.
- Assist in developing and managing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for Flexpak’s production equipment.
- Provide team members with performance feedback, coaching, and guidance to promote development and meet Flexpak’s expectations.
- Ensure Flexpak's standards of quality, productivity, and safety are achieved and maintained on the production floor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace that aligns with Flexpak’s operational excellence values.
- Inspire and motivate team members to embrace a customer-centric mindset.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance Flexpak's production efficiencies and reduce waste.
- Oversee adherence to production processes, ensuring timely and accurate assembly and packaging in line with Flexpak’s production builds.
- Ensure inventory management protocols are followed, including accurate bin locations and efficient transfer of materials.
- Maintain quality control standards for all projects, ensuring each output meets Flexpak’s stringent quality requirements.
- Coordinate team assignments for daily production tasks, optimizing manpower for efficiency and productivity.
- Train employees on new projects, processes, and procedures to meet evolving Flexpak standards.
- Drive the team to meet Flexpak’s daily productivity targets, conducting time studies as needed for operational improvements.
- Organize and build the daily production schedule to align with Flexpak’s customer demands and distribution needs.
- Conduct Quality Assurance (Q/A) inspections on all incoming raw materials to verify compliance with Flexpak’s standards.
- Ensure completed assemblies are correctly barcoded, including accurate part numbers and quantities, for efficient inventory tracking and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a production environment, ideally with supervisory or lead experience within a high-performing, customer-focused organization.
- Familiarity with DDI ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team under high-pressure situations, balancing efficiency with quality standards.
- Strong time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills to meet operational demands.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred to facilitate clear communication with a diverse team.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle products. The ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs is necessary. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels, reflecting an active production floor environment.
Compensation:
$22 - $24 hourly
