Job Overview:
The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all innovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting all deliverables to support business initiatives. This role will act as a liaison among engineering, product management, and operations teams to define project scope, allocate resources, and establish timelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning:
    Develop long- and short-term project plans, including setting milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  2. Collaboration:
    Serve as a liaison between engineering and operations from project initiation to closure. Build and maintain effective relationships across departments.
  3. Resource Management:
    Assign and monitor resources to optimize efficiency and maximize deliverables.
  4. Decision-Making:
    Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression.
  5. Change Management:
    Use verification techniques to handle changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  6. Performance Monitoring:
    Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  7. Risk Management:
    Identify and mitigate project risks.
  8. Communication:
    Report and escalate issues to management as needed. Ensure team actions remain in alignment when multiple units are assigned to the same project. Provide updates to divisional leadership to align with annual and long-term plans.
  9. Quality Assurance:
    Perform quality control to maintain project standards throughout the development cycle.
  10. Schedule Adjustments:
    Revise schedules and targets as necessary based on project needs or financing changes.
  11. Best Practices:
    Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (required).

Skills & Certifications:

  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certification (strongly preferred).
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing (required).
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively and see projects through the full lifecycle.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to complete projects on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Effective teamwork and resourceful approach to challenges.

Physical/Visual Activities & Demands:

  • Frequent: talking, hearing, sitting, typing.
  • Occasional: twisting, turning, reaching above shoulders, standing, walking, bending, grasping with hands.
  • Lifting: up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Pushing/Pulling: up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision Requirements: close vision, far vision, depth perception, color vision, and sharp focus.
