The Muskegon site is a new site for Cytiva and is an expansion of our Resin manufacturing site in Uppsala, Sweden. The development of this site is very important to Cytiva as it will give our customers supply security. The early portion of this role will be an active contributor in establishing the site, as we prepare to receive the manufacturing processes from our sister site in Uppsala.

What you'll do:

  • Take an active role in the ongoing transfer of Cytiva's Resin manufacturing department to establish the manufacturing methods and qualification/validation of equipment and software for the Muskegon site.
  • Work together with process engineer on improvement and troubleshooting activities. Take lead to identify, analyze, and drive technical issues to resolution.
  • Assist in process and product monitoring.
  • Follow and implement company safety policies including but not limited to PPE usage, lock-out-tag-out procedure, and safe operation of equipment. Follow good housekeeping policies.
  • Perform investigations and deviation management according to Quality System and troubleshooting activities. Record and maintain quality and traceability information.

Who You are:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent career experience (2+ years in chemical manufacturing) could be used in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; can work well in cross-functional team.
  • Proven ability to apply problem solving skills to troubleshoot process issues and resolve them at the root cause level.
  • Willing to travel to Sweden for initial training during site start-up phase.
  • Basic understanding of ISO9001 and an understanding of the role manufacturing has in adding quality to its products. Basic understanding and previous experience working in a work environment highly focused on safety. Experience with PSM preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Frequently move, lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 30 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift/move weights greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to continuously stand or walk as well as frequently climb stairs; occasionally squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, pivot, and reach; occasionally use fingers or hands to grasp, clamp, move, finger, handle, and feel small objects.
