Duke Animal Hospital is hiring: Veterinary Customer Service Representative in Ch

We are a busy small animal practice with 7 vets who treat dogs, cats, and exotics including ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, snakes, lizards, and birds.

Ideal candidates will have relevant veterinary or medical experience and possess strong customer service skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, excellent work ethic, organizational skills, and who can competently work in a fast-paced environment. Veterinary receptionist experience is preferred. Duties include:

1. Checking patients in and out
2. Answering the phone
3. Scheduling
4. Sending and following up on emails
5. Obtaining patient histories
6. Preparing exam rooms
7. Medical record creation and maintenance
8. Client education
9. Follow-up calls
10. Filling prescriptions
11. Various record keeping
12. Maintaining positive long-lasting relationships with our clients

We have a unique schedule that offers a balance of personal and work life. Our team operates on a set schedule, consisting of three 12-13 hour shifts per week. We have two teams that alternate their schedules weekly. Team A works on Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 am to 7:30 pm, and the following week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with the same hours.
