Night Shift

Pay: $35/hour

Schedule: Mon-Sat, 10-hour shifts

This is a contract site safety role working on a mechanical construction project. Must have 3 years of construction experience and safety certification to be considered.

Certifications: SMS, OHST, CHST, ASP, CSP, OSHA 500 or similar.

The preferred candidate for this role would be highly motivated, passionate, and friendly. They should have 3 years of construction safety or industrial experience in the field of safety and health, with a strong mix of general industry and construction experience. This is a leadership role where the successful candidate would have a passion to serve and improve others. Working with people is a major component, and the successful candidate would most likely consider themselves a people person.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct accident investigations.
  2. Analyze the client’s safety program to correctly identify the client’s needs.
  3. Work with clients in developing processes and procedures that effectively accomplish the goal of preventing injury.
  4. Conduct project inspections to identify and correct potential hazards on both construction and general industry projects.
  5. Perform root cause analysis and provide corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  6. Write project-specific safety plans and job hazard analysis as required by the client.
  7. Oversee, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations.
  8. Act as a champion of safety for the client by setting an example of good corporate ethics and promoting the culture of safety.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of typical construction and industry processes.
  • Computer skills using MS Office.
  • Technical writing capabilities for developing policies and procedures for clients.
  • A degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related area is preferred but not required with appropriate experience.
  • Flexibility – Makes good decisions and achieves results during major changes in work processes, time frames, responsibilities, and work environment.
  • Time Management – Ability to plan and prioritize time to accomplish goals effectively.
  • Building Collaborative Relationships – Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with clients.
  • Good work ethic and sense of work-life balance.
  • Progressive Thinking – Identifies safety trends, clients’ needs, and provides the client with resources.

Additional Information:

Per diem may be considered for the appropriate candidate.

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Expected hours: 60 – 70 per week

Work Location: In person
