Position Overview:
As a Safety Supervisor, you will ensure the behavior of the crew (when working on a client site) is in accordance with company safety culture. You will understand the lagging and leading safety indicators and promote a philosophy that achieves established goals. This includes the identification of job site/area specific safety requirements, safety equipment, material procurement, training requirements, and tracking of training.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and enforce the Site Safety Program for the assigned project(s) by identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage.
- Use and enforce job specific safety standards, best management practices, and Site-Specific safety program to ensure the safety of all persons and property on the job site resulting in an accident/incident free project.
- Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations (including OSHA), as well as Site Specific policies and owner/contractual requirements.
- Conduct daily and/or weekly job site inspections as appropriate or specified by job.
- Record observations from site inspections and complete required reports.
- Investigate, corroborate, and document all accidents, incidents, and near misses on the jobsite.
- Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines, and laws.
- Conduct weekly 'Toolbox Safety Meetings' and document content and attendance.
- Conduct Safety Orientation for new employees.
- Advise project staff on site specific safety issues/guidelines.
- Evaluate the need for safety training and make recommendations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of General Industry methods and OSHA standards
- OSHA 30 General Industry Certification; OSHA 500 is a plus
- First aid & CPR certified
- 5-10 years safety experience in the construction industry
- Basic working knowledge of MS Office and Windows
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
- Willing to travel
- Min. 2-month contract
- 50+ hrs/week
