Director of Housekeeping

The Beverly Wilshire a Four Seasons Hotel is looking for a Director of Housekeeping who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.

This position has the opportunity to shape Guest Experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. The position reports to the Director of Rooms. Work authorization for the location is required.

About the Role:

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Director of Housekeeping to oversee the meticulous operations of our Housekeeping department. Reporting directly to the Director of Rooms, this pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. The Director of Housekeeping will also provide leadership for the Laundry Department to uphold our unwavering commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the Housekeeping Department team, overseeing all aspects of recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to preserve the aesthetic appeal and longevity of our furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
  3. Uphold stringent cleanliness standards, conducting regular inspections, and collaborating closely with external contractors to ensure prompt and top-quality service delivery.
  4. Exemplify the highest levels of hospitality and professionalism when handling guest interactions, promptly addressing complaints, fulfilling special requests, and coordinating housekeeping requirements.
  5. Monitor departmental expenditures, including labor costs, uniform expenses, linen inventory, cleaning supplies, and contracted services, to meet established financial targets.
  6. Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct periodic inventories, and recommend appropriate actions based on inventory outcomes.
  7. Prepare annual budgets for labor and operational expenses, and contribute valuable insights to the Capital Plan through well-considered proposals.
  8. Ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the Laundry/Valet Department, offering support and assistance as necessary.

What We Are Looking For:

  1. Exceptional leadership capabilities and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  2. The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and adapt to evolving operational demands.
  3. A steadfast work ethic, sound business acumen, and an unwavering commitment to delivering unparalleled service.
  4. Three to five years of proven experience in diverse Rooms Operations management roles.
  5. A college degree in hotel management, business administration, or equivalent experience.

Base Salary: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
