PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Productivity/Quality All Hourly Production Employees

  1. Ensure production lines are running efficiently
  2. Must be actively working with a continuous improvement mindset
  3. Maintaining product quality parameters
  4. Planning / Organizing

Safety & Sanitation

  1. Daily housekeeping for the shift
  2. Assurance of compliance with plant Good Manufacturing Processes
  3. Safety Audits
  4. Responsible for monitoring, record keeping, and taking appropriate action for specified Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan and prerequisite program requirements
  5. Responsible to report food safety and quality issues to management

Project Work

  1. Timely completion for objectives
  2. Daily Production, Operating and Efficiency Reports

Line Start Ups & Shut Downs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. 4 year degree in any of the following disciplines: Food Science, Management Supervision, FMO (Food Manufacturing Organization)
  2. 3-5 years in Food Manufacturing or related industry preferred
  3. 1-2 years Supervisory experience
  4. Computer proficient – MS Office
  5. Technical knowledge of food related equipment
  6. Must possess excellent leadership qualities with a proven track record of leading others

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Excellent Communication skills – written & verbal
  2. Must be an independent thinker with the ability to make decisions quickly
  3. Must have a sense of urgency coupled with the ability to proactively solve problems

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct: All Hourly Production Employees
Indirect: None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Sitting- to complete a task at lower levels
  2. Standing- to complete most all tasks
  3. Walking
  4. Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment
  5. Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox
  6. Kneeling- to perform work activities at low levels
  7. Crawling- to perform work activities under equipment
  8. Squatting
  9. Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
  10. Twisting- to perform work activities
  11. Pinch- to use tools, to manipulate wires
  12. Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
  13. Available to work a flexible work schedule
  14. Must be able to lift/carry boxes of product components
  15. Must be able to tolerate a warm climate working environment
  16. Must wear appropriate safety and GMP gear in designated areas of the plant
  17. Able to walk and/or stand on concrete floors for long periods of time
  18. Able to ambulate hands and fingers to operate necessary equipment for the position, which includes a telephone, computer, radio, etc.
