Qualifications for TEST TECHNICIAN
Shift: 3rd
Wage: $29.17 +$1.50
To be accepted as a Test Technician employee, the applicant must be able to:
- Review electrical/refrigeration schematics, BOMs, layout, assembly, and heating/cooling systems.
- Test components, sensors, controls, and system performance to ensure proper sequence of operation of the unit according to customer and engineering specifications.
- Pass Test Technician test within 40-day probationary period. Knowledge of single phase, three phase, and high/low voltage circuitry. Knowledge of gas types/systems. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Understand electrical schematics and sequence of operation. Excellent math skills. Ability to read and understand instructions.
- Complete paperwork required by operations. Advanced analytical ability. Ability to use gauges, electrical meters, and diagnostic tools. Ability to distinguish wire gauges and types. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and test stands.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Operate material handling equipment. Strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills. EPA certification Type I and II.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks. Be adaptable enough to learn the necessary functions in a timely manner and perform them within accepted output and quality levels.
- Follow standard safe practices that apply to all activities. Cross-train in other grades and classifications as needed.
