Nature of Engagement: Either direct hire or Sole Proprietor / Contractor

Working Week: Approx 40 hours per week

Start Date: Immediately – Ideally before December 23.

The Client

A SME in Life science Manufacturing Technology solutions, we are looking for top talent to be part of the dynamic team and drive the growth of the business.

The Project

Greenfield biologics facility – approx. capex value $400m USD. The works consist of seven buildings including a three-storey manufacturing facility, laboratory and administrative building, and a two-storey utility building. The facility also includes an electrical building, security building, and wastewater treatment plant.

Duties / Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the design, development and commissioning support of Pharmaceuticals DCS systems on site. Key technology will be Emerson DeltaV.
  2. Participate in the development and implementation of Automation solutions in line with S88 standards for the plant.
  3. Thorough understanding of Physical and Procedural Layer design, development, and qualification.
  4. Work with automation team to design system architecture, Design Specification, Control Strategies, and library development.
  5. Support manufacturing operations for day-to-day support of DeltaV system.
  6. Support on NC and CAPA and identification of root causes.
  7. Continuous improvement of the system and support for Operations.
  8. Field commissioning of automation equipment.
  9. System administration and maintenance support.
  10. Computer system Validation and documentation support for automation systems.
  11. Interact with Operations Team, Process Team, Equipment Vendors, and Technology providers.

Candidate Requirements

  1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the Pharmaceutical industry.
  2. Experience in the Designing and commissioning of DeltaV DCS projects for GMP manufacturing sites.
  3. Thorough understanding of Batch S88 standards (CM, EM, Phases, Recipes, Units etc).
  4. Understanding of Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical processes.
  5. Understanding of automation hardware and networking technologies.
  6. Emerson DeltaV DCS Batch experience required.
  7. Familiarity with SDLC and quality management processes in pharma.
  8. Ability to work well in a team environment.
  9. Able to manage multiple party coordination for automation information.
  10. Good communication and able to work remotely or onsite as required by client.
