Job Summary:

Assists in planning, administering, and directing all activities related to food services retail and catering operations assuring compliance with regulatory agencies, the policies and procedures of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the requirements of the customer. Assists with menu development and management working collaboratively with JHHS Food and Culinary Services team. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of effective merchandising, quality assessment of market place conditions, customer expectations, and product selection to maximize customer satisfaction. Develop customer relationships to maintain client satisfaction and assure the highest quality of service. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments of the hospital.

Education:

BS in food services, hospitality, or related field preferred; experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Licensure/Certifications:

Required to obtain and maintain current Baltimore City Food Service Manager Certificate and ServSafe Certification or obtain the certification within 90 days.

Experience:

Three to five years previous management experience in large-scale, high-volume food service operation preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 22.64 per hour - Maximum 39.62 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
