Job Overview:Want to work with a team of performance and software engineers building Server infrastructure and solving meaningful problems? You’ll need to have architecture and software development skills, in addition to being able to think creatively. Performance engineering is crucial to push the limits of Arm designs and ensuring both hardware and software are well optimized, and with our team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with other hard-working performance engineers.Responsibilities:As an expert performance engineer, you will be responsible for:Drive & investigate performance of real-world server use-cases and build workloads to model themDevelop and enhance innovative tools for architectural/microarchitectural exploration and performance analysisIdentify bottlenecks across software, micro-architecture, and architecture through workload characterizationInvestigate & resolve performance degradation incidents through root cause analysisCreate and maintain performance test plans, strategies, and reports to validate the system’s ability to scale under expected user loadsCollaborate with multiple design teams developing Server IP across the organizationRequired Skills and Experience :5+ years of experience with SOC pre-silicon & post-silicon performance analysisDeep understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, memory hierarchy, & also system component interdependencies including memory and I/O systemsExperience understanding workload performance bottlenecks across HW and SW stackObtained a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fieldStrong programming experience in C, C++ and scripting & comfortable with Linux and Linux tools“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :Experience with SOC bringupBackground or experience in server applications and system and software debugKnowledge of systems impacting uncore performance like Interconnect, PCIe & GPUExperience in ML frameworks and optimizationsIn Return:At Arm, we are guided by our core beliefs that reflect our rare culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to surpass ordinary and shape extraordinary:We not ITake daily responsibility to make the Global Arm community thriveNo individual is responsible for the right answer.
