Job DescriptionCreative Artists Agency (CAA) is the leading entertainment and sports agency, with global expertise in filmed and live entertainment, digital media, publishing, sponsorship sales and endorsements, licensing, media finance, consumer investing, fashion, trademark licensing, and philanthropy.  Distinguished by its culture of collaboration and exceptional client service, CAA’s diverse workforce identifies, innovates, and amplifies opportunities for the people and organizations that shape culture and inspire the world.  The trailblazer of the agency business, CAA was the first to build a sports business, create an investment bank, launch a venture fund, found technology start-up companies, establish a philanthropic arm, build a business in China, and form a brand marketing services division, among other innovations.The RoleThe CAA Brand Consulting Insights & Analytics Director will play a key role in some of our most high-profile client work and new-business initiatives.  This position will lead the development and ‘sell-in’ of Sports, Entertainment, and Impact strategies – partnering with Account leads to advise C-suite clients and their teams on how to leverage data-driven insights across each media channel and consumer touchpoint.  In this role, the candidate will interface day-to-day with our Account team and functional leaders (Creative, Strategy, Business Development, Experiential, etc.), inter-agency leaders, as well as directly with senior clients.  The DepartmentCAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. These integrated capabilities come together to offer solutions from planning through execution, and we pull in a collective perspective of expertise with each client brief to ensure we are tapping into diverse thinking and building strategies reflective of the marketplace and culture we work within.ResponsibilitiesSupport the design, implementation, and management of sponsorship strategy, valuation, and measurement initiatives across portfolio of clientsUtilize third-party, internal, and client-owned research tools to aggregate and analyze marketing dataUse data visualization skills and tools to analyze and package reports for key internal and external stakeholdersLeverage data to develop new insights with the goal of improving planning and strategy executionInteract directly with internal teams and clients to manage expectations and meet deadlines Develop and deliver overarching strategic vision grounded in data for client assignments, defining and prioritizing initiatives that directly support marketing/business goals and brand KPIsPartner closely with our Strategy and Account teams to build and apply insight and data-driven personas, segmentation models, customer journeys and measurement frameworksInterpret category and consumer trends to inform sponsorship marketing, partnership, campaign and communication strategies, determining the roles of media and creative and ideal touchpoints needed to drive desired outcomes Act as a bridge between internal teams – Account, New Business, Data, Strategy, Creative – facilitating optimal team outputs while balancing efficiency and effectiveness Brief and collaborate with internal and external partnersDevelop and apply ownable positioning for brands within Sports, Entertainment and Impact, informing brand role, partner selection and creative activationProactively pitch innovative ideas, new partners, new channels, and test and learn opportunities Cultivate relationships across CAA to find and promote new opportunities for clientsRequirements8+ years of experience in a data-driven insights and strategic role Expertise in interpreting consumer research and data (quantitative & qualitative) and applying to solutions-based client strategiesStrong Excel and PowerPoint skillsExperience managing, developing, and mentoring junior team membersHighly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively and persuasively, including ability to present and adapt to different stakeholdersNatural curiosity and a demonstrated ability to turn observed data into a story about what behavior is driving itStrong analytical skills, ability to think critically and work collaboratively on fast moving projectsProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while being extremely detail-oriented Ability to influence, persuade and lead broader teams Experience communicating and providing consultation and advice to clientsAbility to travel and attend work events outside normal business hours on an as needed basisGlobal experience or experience working on multi-market accounts Knowledge, passion and curiosity on all things culture, sports, and entertainment Ability to confidently present plans, thought leadership and ideas to a senior leadership audiences (internal and external)Experience working on new business pitches, to support when opportunities arisePreferred SkillsExperience developing Sports, Entertainment & Impact related sponsorship strategiesExperience valuing partnership opportunities and assetsExperience designing and implementing sponsorship measurement campaignsTeam player and ability to collaborate with junior and senior level colleaguesExperience with YouGov, Meltwater, or other syndicated research platformsLocationBased out of the New York office, this role is onsite/in office Tuesday thru Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $135,000-$166,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
