Data Scientist - Portfolio Management, Vice President

Your data science and financial analysis expertise will contribute directly to the future growth and innovation of our products. As a Data Scientist within the Fundamental Data Science portfolio management team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will design, build, and apply AI/ML techniques to make meaningful contributions to the team’s proprietary investment process. In partnership with the team, your problem-solving capabilities will help to identify investment opportunities for the US Equity portfolios managed by the team. Job Responsibilities:Design and utilize advanced AI/ML techniques to analyze a diverse variety of financial information Build and apply predictive forecasts to research potential investment opportunitiesDesign efficient and highly scalable processing and modeling pipelines for financial dataRemain up to date with the latest developments in AI through research and experimentationAssist in the management of the team’s investment process and portfoliosDeploy pipelines and models in a production settingDevelop insights and actionable recommendations from data analysisRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:3+ years of relevant data science experience working with large-scale datasets and large models in both a research and production capacityStrong proficiency in PythonDemonstrated expertise in predictive modeling across a variety of data formats, including time series and natural language dataExperience deploying models and pipelines in a production settingProficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow)Intellectual curiosity and passion for problem solving within financial marketsPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Experience building predictive models with financial datasetsDemonstrated success bringing large-scale projects from research to productionStrong familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Understanding of financial markets and investment strategies is highly desirable JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
