The Role: Presidio Federal is seeking an experienced Senior Federal Capture Manager to lead the capture of new DOD business opportunities in the Federal Government space. The successful candidate will drive the growth of Presidio Federal's professional services business and expand its presence in technology markets, including cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and managed services. This role requires a strategic thinker who can assess and refine the opportunity pipeline, establish a formal bid/no bid process, and lead pipeline review meetings to ensure alignment with company objectives.

This position includes a comprehensive variable compensation plan designed to reward outstanding performance and achievement of key metrics. The Senior Federal Capture Manager will be eligible for performance-based incentives that align with pre-established metrics, ensuring a direct correlation between successful capture activities and financial rewards. Metrics include but are not limited to the success rate of submitted proposals, and the development of strategic partnerships that drive business growth. The details of the variable compensation plan will be discussed further during the interview process.

- Capture Strategy & Execution: Lead the capture of high-value opportunities within the federal market, focusing on professional services and technology-driven solutions.
- Pipeline Assessment & Refinement: Regularly assess, prioritize, and refine the business development pipeline to ensure alignment with growth goals, market demands, and strategic initiatives.
- Establish Bid/No Bid Process: Develop and implement a formal bid/no bid decision-making process that assesses risks, resource allocation, and strategic fit, ensuring that Presidio Federal pursues the most advantageous opportunities.
- Lead Pipeline Review Meetings: Conduct regular pipeline review meetings with senior leadership, business development, and capture teams to ensure transparency, alignment, and prioritization of key opportunities.
- Opportunity Strategist: Serve as a key strategist, identifying and shaping opportunities to ensure Presidio Federal is positioned for success from the outset. Adjust capture strategies as needed based on early assessments.
- Business Development Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Development teams to identify, qualify, and pursue federal contracting opportunities aligned with Presidio Federal's growth strategy. Translate opportunities into actionable capture plans.
- Proposal Management: Oversee proposal development, ensuring compliance with requirements and alignment with customer needs. Collaborate with Proposal Managers to deliver winning proposals that are compelling and timely.
- Client & Partner Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, industry partners, and subcontractors. Engage with partners to ensure collaborative approaches to capture opportunities.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to inform capture strategy and help differentiate Presidio Federal's solutions in the market.
- Solution Development: Work closely with internal technical teams and external partners to design innovative solutions that meet federal client needs, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and managed IT services.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the capture process, including pricing, solution architecture, and proposal differentiators.
- Grow the Professional Services Business: Lead efforts to expand Presidio Federal's professional services offerings, especially in high-demand sectors such as cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and consulting.
- Increase Win Rate: Develop strategies to improve Presidio Federal's success rate in winning competitive federal contracts.
- Expand Partner Ecosystem: Build relationships with technology partners and subcontractors to enhance Presidio Federal's ability to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Pipeline Management & Process Improvement: Establish a structured bid/no bid process and lead ongoing pipeline review meetings to ensure focus on the highest-value opportunities.
- Innovative Solutions: Lead the development of cutting-edge solutions that align with federal government needs, ensuring that Presidio Federal is positioned as a leader in IT and professional services.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 8-10 years of experience in federal capture management, business development, or related roles, with a proven track record of winning complex, multi-million-dollar federal contracts.
- Experience in managing and refining a business development pipeline, including leading pipeline reviews, and establishing bid/no bid processes.
- Expertise in professional services, particularly in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and managed services for federal clients.
- Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement processes.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through the capture lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract award.
- Ability to serve as an opportunity strategist, shaping pursuits and aligning resources for successful outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
- Experience may be substituted for education where applicable.
