Will oversee Controller, General Ledger, Payroll, and Accounts Payable.Day to Day Responsibilities: Oversees all aspects of the general ledger accounting Supervises the accounting department, works with each team member to develop goals and provide feedback / support Manages cash balances, investments, and bank relationships Oversees the annual audit and tax return preparation Manages the month-end close-out process Assists with the creation and implementation of the annual budget Performs regular projections and assists with budget modifications as needed Participates in regular meetings with program leadership, provides financial reports, and serves as liaison between programs and finance Analyzes key vendor relationships to ensure cost effectiveness Prepares the monthly revenue analysis and enters the monthly journal entry Works with Controller to produce cash flow analyses and forecasts With the payroll team, responsible for the bi-weekly disbursement of payroll including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws Works in conjunction with Consulting entities to ensure that grants are maximized and program staff are kept apprised of grant performance Participates in Board, Finance Committee and Audit Committee meetingsRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Non-profit industry 8+ years’ progressive experience in finance Cost center accounting
