The Conversational Search Shopping team is looking for an innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer. The candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
Key Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. The candidate must accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and have the ability to learn quickly. Primary responsibilities include defining the problem and building analytical frameworks to help streamline operations, identifying gaps in existing processes by analyzing data, liaising with relevant teams to address these gaps, and sharing updates with internal teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with the theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with the theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership
