Quality Assurance Engineer - Amazon Music Job at Omaada in Atlanta

Key job responsibilities

1. You will be responsible for all testing of an entire project across various platforms
2. You will own the development and execution of test plans and test cases for multiple features of an application
3. You will develop and maintain testing strategies, including manual and automation testing.
4. You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.
5. You will participate in design and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans.
6. You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
7. You will promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
8. You will interact and collaborate with the other development groups at Amazon Music and other organizations within the Amazon group of companies.

Basic Qualifications

1. 4+ year of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
2. Experience in manual testing
3. Experience in automation testing
4. Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
2. Proficient with Java, Python, or any other comparative coding language.
3. Experience with black box and white box testing with the understanding of and/or experience with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches
4. Ownership of test plan development and execution for customer facing applications
5. Experience with regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration and security testing
6. Robust experience with desktop and mobile application testing
7. Experience working in a related technical integration capacity (build/integration engineer)
8. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
9. Effective problem solving and analytical skills
10. Self-starter in building and maintaining excellent working relationships with peers
