Job Summary
The Relationship Manager develops and maintains effective relationships with retirement plan sponsors, wealth management clients and industry wholesalers. The Relationship Manager ensures delivery of optimal service, client satisfaction and client retention. This position accountable for overall deliverables to clients. The Relationship Manager supports the Producer and Plan Sponsors with the administration and operation of the retirement plan, including plan governance and plan compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities
Works closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, fiduciary reporting, and market research while adhering to HUB’s best practices and standard procedures.
Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, plan sponsors, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
Participates in day-to-day communication with clients and assists clients with questions or issue resolution.
Discusses, monitors and advises plan sponsors on plan design changes.
In conjunction with the producer or independently, manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings.
Follows through with all meeting action items, including research, fund changes and all miscellaneous issues.
Provides a high level of support to Sales staff in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.
Responsible for centralizing quarterly report generation.
Coordinates and manages input or imports data into multiple reporting engines and spreadsheets.
Typical projects may be related to: plan set-up, plan documents, contributions, loans, distributions, enrollment, coordination of plan-level contact or plan changes, product changes, fund adds/eliminations, plan amendments, statement narratives, statement reviews, banking/division/pay center changes, forms customization or updates, pricing changes/recoveries. Supports product pricing, projections and annual reconciliation. Help prepare forecasts and analyze trends.
Proactively assists the team in streamlining services, implement new application and software, product enhancements and new Fiduciary Vault.
Coordinates production and/or rollout of custom or specialized reporting for clients as required. Assists Producer in pulling data to distribute quarterly billing.
Maintains accurate and organized account files by appropriately documenting conversations with clients and carrier representatives; updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems; ensures the accuracy of data.
Seeks continued knowledge and stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients. Makes appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes; Attends industry related continuing education training and courses.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field
3+ years retirement plan industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
FINRA Series 7 registration, along with FINRA Series 63 and FINRA Series 66 or FINRA Series 65.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge of retirement plan design, customer service and internal reporting.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer skills: proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and agency management systems.
Critical Thinking: Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
Confidence and demeanor to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships; work effectively with insurance and service vendors to gain cooperation in meeting clients’ needs.
Ability to respond to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service, and handle difficult or emotional customer situations promptly and accurately.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities in order to complete assignments on time and with optimal accuracy.
Ability to effectively work with a team and coach others in developing their skills and abilities.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
This position primarily involves remaining in a stationary position for the majority of the workday.
The person in this position frequently communicates with colleagues and clients both in person and on the telephone; Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000/ yr. and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.

Job Summary
