The Overnight Camp Health Officer is a seasonal position. Under the direct supervision of the Camp Director, the Health Officer is responsible for proper health care and first aid for campers and staff.
Pay range starts at $1,500 bi-weekly, housing & meals provided.

Scope and Responsibilities:
- Collect and securely store all campers and staff medication; dispense as directed.
- Perform wellness checks on all campers and staff for communicable diseases and health problems as directed in the written health procedures.
- Collect and file all camper and staff health forms.
- Maintain standing order medication and report medication or supply needs to the camp director.
- Maintain a daily treatment log.
- Be readily available for first aid emergencies and other contingencies.
- Secure proper treatment for campers and staff requiring a doctor's or hospital attention.
- Provide health checks for campers leaving for overnight trips, ensuring accompanying staff have necessary first aid information, medication, and health forms.
- Contact parents of campers requiring physician's attention or overnight stays in the health center.
- Issue written health information to all staff regarding campers requiring medication and special allergies.
- Report any incidents to the camp director; all incident reports are filled out by the camp director.
- Advise the camp director and staff on health, disease, sanitation, and cleanliness issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience.
- State licensure as a RN, EMT, or LP.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- 1-3 years of nursing and/or related experience.
- Prior camp experience is preferred.
