Key Responsibilities:
The IT Business Analyst will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations by supporting and ensuring the successful activation of new products and features. The Mosaic Program is focused on revolutionizing and modernizing our existing Passenger Services System (PSS), and this role will be critical to the success of the program by analyzing and designing business workflows, performing needs assessments in collaboration with the project team, and ensuring key business objectives are met as part of the analytical, build, test, and deployment stages. This role will require an understanding of both business and technology, as well as a strong customer-centric focus as we are looking to redefine core business processes and technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to build a new, innovative passenger service system (PSS) that will shape the industry for years to come!
Business Process Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify efficiency gains and areas for improvement
Map out current and future state processes, providing a clear vision for potential enhancements
Requirements Gathering and Solution Development:
Work closely with partners to understand and translate business needs into detailed requirements
Design and propose business solutions that align with strategic objectives and improve operations
Project Management:
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and business expectations
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and make adjustments as necessary to stay on track
Stakeholder Communication and Presentation:
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners to align on business goals and initiatives
Prepare and deliver presentations that summarize findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Facilitate collaboration between business units, technology, and support teams to ensure cohesive efforts and successful outcomes
Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical collaborators, ensuring mutual understanding and cooperation
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively seek out opportunities for process optimization and innovation within the business
Implement standard methodologies and stay abreast of industry trends to drive continuous improvement
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Gather and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support decision-making
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor business performance

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems Integration, Aviation Business Management or related field
3+ years of related experience or successful completion of United DT Early Career Digital Leadership Program (ECDLP)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Superb communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Experience in project management and business process re-engineering
Ability to work independently and with others to resolve complex business issues
Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, particularly Scrum, SAFe and Kanban
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Must be a team focused individual
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Previous experience working in a front line, call center, or other airline operational role
Previous experience working with a Passenger Service System (PSS)
Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, or other agile work management tools
Proficiency with Confluence, Lucid, or other diagramming / documentation tools
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau)

The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $119,680.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
