Project Overview:
Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.
Job Summary:
The Delivery Manager oversees the supply chain management of the critical commodity and its overall delivery assurance while keeping the technical and commercial compliance to the Purchase Order requirements. Responsibilities primarily revolve around evaluating risk associated with supplier delivery and managing commercial and delivery schedules as per the project requirements.
The Delivery Manager shall allocate responsibilities to the project delivery team and define the equipment scope definition, support procurement, and manage surveillance requirements of the awarded PO. They also influence various project delivery teams, consisting of project representatives, project engineers, jobsite engineers, and BSQE supplier performance representatives across the alignment.
Telework Designation: Part-Time Telework:
This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility. Please be advised that the telework designation of the position may be changed in the future at the discretion of the company or project.
Major Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements contained within the Bechtel Standards.
- Ensuring supplier internal specification and procedures to be within the PO.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance to the business, relative to project scope integration.
- Developing and maintaining risk registers with appropriate mitigation measures.
- Enabling and promoting effective communication and collaboration between the respective project team and related supplier counterparts.
- Reviewing and commenting upon supplier produced schedule as necessary.
- Addressing issues and concerns to provide corrective measures quickly to manage supply delivery.
- Managing the overall delivery of the PO commodity by providing optimized and agile solutions to issues related to supplier delivery.
- Cross-functional coordination of multiple work activities in an assigned supplier facility.
- Acting as the liaison between the supplier and the project team to ensure agreed requirements are defined and implemented.
- Ensuring clear and concise communication between supplier and project team.
- Maintaining focus on the project's schedule and quality.
- Validating and verifying completion of commercial payment progress milestones.
- Identifying innovative methods to move the work forward without violating contractual or programmatic requirements.
- Assisting Project with early identification of deviations to technical and commercial requirements.
- Responsible for the overall safety of Bechtel employees located at the supplier facilities.
- Overseeing supplier performance with respect to their internal schedule milestones and execution plan.
- Attending all pertinent project meetings and reporting status, including project management meetings as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8 to 11 years of relevant management of supplier delivery work experience or 12-15 years of supply chain management work experience (Level 1) or 12 to 15 Years of relevant management of supplier delivery work experience or 16-20 years of supply chain management work experience (Level 2).
- Extensive experience in leadership roles, experience in writing technical procedures and problem solving.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
- Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Advanced capability to perform technical and commercial risk analysis of a given system/scope of work.
- Advanced ability to build relationships cross-functionally between projects and suppliers.
- Ability to obtain required input, direction, and clarifications directly from the associated project and functional disciplines as applicable.
- Works without supervision. Extensive latitude for independent judgment.
