Henneman Engineering, Inc is hiring: Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in Champaig

Job Responsibilities:

1. Exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
2. Conceptualize the initial electrical design approach for all project types and has overall responsibility for the electrical engineering work.
3. Knowledgeable in consulting and construction practices to include plan/specifications, design/build, and construction manager roles and responsibilities.
4. Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies.
5. Resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
6. Serve as liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
7. Organize and prepare all electrical construction drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate), technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Also participate in contract bidding/administration and on-site project management.
8. Conduct electrical systems analysis, such as arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies utilizing power system analysis software.
9. Understand power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution systems.
10. Will be required to perform other duties as assigned.
11. Low, Medium & High Voltage Distribution.
12. Electrical Equipment Including Substations, Switchgear, and Protective Relaying.
13. Electrical Systems Modeling: Arc Flash, Short Circuit & Coordination Studies.
14. Electrical Equipment Maintenance & Testing.
15. Emergency Power Systems.
16. Grounding and Lightning Protection.

Qualifications/Requirements Of Mechanical Engineer:

1. Education: 4-Year Electrical Engineering degree required.
2. Experience: Entry level. However, Henneman Engineering is open to considering a diverse range of experience and skill levels. Experience with AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP (or other power systems analysis software) is preferred.

1. Salary commensurate with skills and experience. $58,000-$70,000.
