Duties:
- Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.
- Attend pretrial hearings and provide clients with strategic advice after each hearing.
- Represent clients in court appearances, trials, and depositions; draft motions and interview witnesses.
- Perform legal research and analyze potential case outcomes based on legal precedents.
- Manage an active caseload and provide thorough legal analysis for client cases.
- Collect and analyze evidence to support client defenses and counter prosecution charges.
- Prepare clients for depositions and develop case strategies in consultation with clients, witnesses, and experts.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar (recent graduates awaiting bar admission may also be considered).
- Demonstrated interest in criminal defense through internships, law school clinics, or volunteer work.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a legal team.
- Familiarity with case management software is preferred.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active bar admission or pending bar admission.
