Job Type Full-time Description The primary focus of the Accounting Manager is to support the U.S. accounting and finance teams. This individual reports to the U.S. Controller and will be responsible for general accounting, leading and supporting the month end close process, overseeing account reconciliations, and participating in the management of internal controls. The Accounting Manager will also be an integral team member in the intercompany activity processes and reconciliations (both domestic and foreign) and oversee treasury and accounts payable procedures. This person should have a thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP. The Accounting Manager will interact closely with the corporate finance functions, the U.S. accounting and finance teams, as well as various other U.S. departments. This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), be a team player, and be able to work across organization lines to achieve desired results. This person should have a high level of integrity, be highly analytical, and be able to solve complex technical accounting problems. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will need to be committed to continuous improvement, and always be looking for opportunities to improve processes, and to improve internal controls. Key Responsibilities & Duties: •Lead process improvement efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of department •Oversee month end close process, including preparation of appropriate journal entries and accruals, by providing support to both U.S. Controller and Senior Accountant •Perform monthly reconciliations of various Balance Sheet accounts, including intercompany accounts and Accounts Payable •Participate in management of internal controls •Participate in financial and other audits •Assist in the administration of Blackline •Manage corporate reporting within HFM •Participate in annual budget process •Support annual Physical Inventory •Other miscellaneous closing duties including analysis of financials and other ad-hoc tasks •Oversee intercompany activity, including accounting, billing, and collections •Perform Treasury duties as necessary, including oversight over A/P, and cash management •Assist in the management of various software packages An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Requirements •Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with training and work experience in a manufacturing environment. •CPA is highly preferred. •Minimum of 10 years of work experience in accounting and financial roles within manufacturing industries, utilizing integrated ERP systems. •Financial Shared Services experience desired. •Strong personal computer skills including enhanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and Word. •QAD ERP and Oracle Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM) experience is a plus Travel Requirements: •As needed - 5% or less Competencies •Successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. •Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to quickly and accurately analyze a situation and arrive at an effective fact-based decision or solution.
