This position is based at a Level II trauma center and requires proficiency in managing a variety of cases, including cardiac, obstetrics, pediatrics, and general anesthesia.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule, with day shifts running Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30 AM and lasting for 9 hours. In addition to the day shifts, in-house call coverage is required during the evenings and weekends. Weekday call hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, while weekend shifts can be either 24 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM) or divided into 12-hour segments (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). An additional backup call physician is always available for support.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be Board Eligible within three years of residency). Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC letter in hand (highly preferred). Active DEA license. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Williamsport, located in north-central Pennsylvania, is a vibrant city with a rich history and strong sense of community. Known as the home of Little League Baseball, Williamsport also offers outdoor recreational activities, cultural attractions, and a charming downtown area.
