FLRAA - Software Engineer (4000)

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer to join our exciting fast paced FLRAA team. This position will be pivotal in assisting the FLRAA team and the Department of Defense in bringing the next generation of vertical lift to the Soldiers of the future. This is a hybrid role based in Huntsville, AL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This position will help FLRAA remain compliant with DO-178C and DO-254 which will include participation in Stages of Involvement (SOI) reviews with the vendor, participation in Change Control Board (CCB) representing quality for both hardware and software changes, and ensure compliance to airworthiness standards of the plans, requirements, designs, code, and testing software

The proposed salary for this position is:
$144,100-$225,100 USD

Required Skills/Experience:
- 8+ years working as a software engineer on a complex system
- Experience executing software Integration Verification & Validation
- Experience executing/overseeing software Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)
- Experience transiting software from development to a lab environment
- Experience with software airworthiness (i.e. implementation of DO-178C and DO-254 standards)
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Ideally, experience with Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)
