T&M Associates is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Portfolio Manager (PPM) to oversee a collection of civil engineering projects and ensure their alignment with T&M's organization-wide goals. This opportunity is available in any of our regions including NJ, PA or OH.
The Project Portfolio Manager will work on projects across all 5 of T&M's primary markets, including Transportation, Water, Environmental, Building Services and Community & Land Development. This individual will work closely with Regional Business Managers, Market Leaders, and project teams to prioritize, manage, and deliver successful projects that contribute to T&M's strategic objectives in these markets.
This individual will also offer project management related mentorship and standards development for those within T&M's project management community. PPM's may directly manage projects themselves in addition to overseeing a broader portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Provides general oversight over the projects within their portfolio, monitoring key KPIs such as variance and net labor multiplier. Establish KPIs and metrics to track the progress and performance of projects and implement processes for regular reporting and review.
- Mentorship: Acts as a mentor for the PMs within their portfolio and within the overall PM community. Will conduct regular check-ins with PMs to discuss challenges, assess or review risks, share experiences, offer guidance, and share context behind portfolio decisions and strategic choices.
- Training and Standards Development: Works with their peers and corporate stakeholders to develop standards, best practices, and methodologies applicable to project management.
- Participation in T&M's Project Management Community. Works as a visible and contributory member of the PM community, actively sharing knowledge, collaborating, and working to continuously improve project management at T&M. Will assist managers with development plans for employees who have shown an interest in the PM Career Pathway as well as those actively acting as a PM.
- Strategy Development: The Portfolio Program Manager helps define the vision, goals, and objectives within the PM community to ensure alignment with the company's overall strategic goals. This may include selecting and prioritizing projects within a portfolio based on the strategic importance, impact on business outcomes, and resource ability.
- Project Learning: Reflects on lessons learned from previous projects and peers, applying this knowledge to coach and train the T&M PM community.
- Project Audit and Review: Holds audits and project review meetings related to projects within the portfolio.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications, including PMP, PfMP, PgMP, PMI or PMI-SP are highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing large, complex projects in the civil engineering field with strong record of project performance and contribution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and develop project management teams.
- Expertise in project management best practices and financial oversight.
- Proficiency in managing multiple stakeholders and resources.
