Key Responsibilities:
- HR Leadership: Lead HR programs and strategies to support a workforce of 450+ employees. Motivate and develop the HR team while collaborating with hiring managers on recruitment, organizational structure, and staffing levels. Act as an ambassador of company values, ensuring visible leadership across all teams.
- Operational Management: Oversee HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management. Provide advisory support on employee relations, discipline, grievances, and terminations.
- Strategic HR & Compliance: Work with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, while designing policies that promote a respectful, safe workplace.
- Talent & Culture Development: Partner with leadership to implement employee development programs and drive change management efforts to support organizational growth.
- HR Data & Analysis: Analyze HR metrics and trends to identify improvement areas, ensuring HR best practices are consistently applied.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive HR and recruitment experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing HR in a dynamic, results-driven environment.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to build lasting relationships internally and externally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field (preferred).
- CPHR or equivalent HR designation (or actively working toward designation).
- Familiarity with HR/Payroll systems (specifically ADP/WFN).
- Experience managing HR in a seasonal business environment is an asset.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is an asset.
