Title: Vice President of Housing
Location: Hybrid within the Northeastern Region
Description:
The Vice President of Housing oversees the development, implementation, and management of housing programs, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and rent assistance programs. This leadership role requires expertise in housing program administration, team management, compliance, and strategic development to support the organization's mission of serving low-income and homeless populations.
Responsibilities:
Program Development:
Develop scopes of work, deliverables, and performance expectations for housing programs.
Collaborate with program directors to create comprehensive scopes and proposals.
Partner with Housing Services to identify service needs and gaps, and implement resident services.
Create staffing and budget plans for new and existing programs.
Integrate new programs into organizational policies and procedures.
Contribute to responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
Program Administration:
Oversee housing programs, ensuring compliance with organizational, local, state, and federal regulations.
Monitor policies and procedures to maintain alignment with regulatory changes.
Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to collect and analyze KPI data.
Ensure programs meet or exceed contractual deliverables and performance expectations.
Maintain relationships with government entities and funders, providing regular updates.
Site Management:
Oversee site operations, ensuring adequate staffing, compliance, and safety.
Work with HR to address staffing gaps and strategize recruitment efforts.
Ensure facilities are maintained and meet health, safety, and accessibility standards.
Conduct safety drills and ensure emergency protocols are up to date.
Ensure facilities are prepared for audits and inspections.
Supervision:
Supervise program directors and conduct regular site visits and performance reviews.
Support staff development through training and workshops.
Collaborate with HR to address professional development needs and coordinate training programs.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in social work, public administration, or organizational management. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience, including 7 years in managerial roles, may substitute.
Experience: 8+ years of experience working with low-income or homeless populations and 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Licenses: Valid driver's license; LMSW preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong negotiation, project management, and administrative skills.
Ability to manage large-scale programs and scattered site operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AWARDS, CARES, and online platforms.
Professional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
Budget development and management experience.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
