Pay Range: 50.68 - 85.14

Summary:

This position is for a full-time, Systems Architect with 5 years of professional experience to advise on the design and development of cloud strategies utilizing various methodologies and tools across the three major public cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, and GCP). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Required Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
2. 5+ years of experience across the entire enterprise application layer architecting solutions.
3. 3+ years of experience conceptualizing and architecting cloud solutions and migrating on-premise based environments to cloud.
4. Experience supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and expansion initiatives.
5. 3+ years of experience in one or more prominent cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).
6. Experience with Agile methodology.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

1. Experience with MCP, MCSE on Windows 2016, and 2019 is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Leading teams of technical and business professionals through architectural design, development, and deployment of cost-effective and sustainable Cloud infrastructure and application solutions to meet unique client business requirements.
2. Develop and implement solid, scalable, and flexible solutions to support Rush migrating and transforming from on-premise to cloud solutions.
3. Partner with vendors to help draft proposals, provide effort estimations, and participate in client presentations.
4. Provide high-impact content to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs related to Cloud Services and Cloud Strategy.
5. Understand and champion cloud lifecycle management, helping evolve the business to expand this footprint.
6. Lead cultural change for cloud adoption.
7. Develop and coordinate cloud architecture for Rush & ventures.
8. Develop a cloud strategy and coordinate the adaptation process.
9. Establish best practices for cloud across the company.
10. Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and firewalls.
11. Knowledge about Virtual Machines and Container concepts.
12. Knowledge of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security Model.
13. Knowledge of automation tools.
14. Understanding of HA architecture (clustering, RAC, ADG, failover etc.), multiple DC architecture, multicloud integration.
15. Selecting cloud providers and vetting third-party services.
