Project Title: Program Manager-Post M&A Integration
Level: Mid-Senior
Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months
Project Hours : 40 hours/week
Location: Remote
The expected compensation for this contract is $93,600-$104,400 per length of contract. The exact pay rate will vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to skills, experience, and location.
Key Responsibilities: One of our premier clients is seeking an experienced Program Manager to help successfully manage the diligence and/or integration of the client's acquired entities. Reporting to the Integration Leader and working with the Business Sponsor, Integration team, and a team of dedicated functional experts in Finance, HR, Service, Operations, IT, Risk/Compliance/Legal, and more, you will create and execute the plans to bring each newly acquired entity into the client. The ideal candidate will be skilled program managers with broad functional knowledge who can see the big picture while juggling a myriad of details.
- Working with the Business Sponsor and the Corporate Development Transaction Manager, develop the integration strategy and create plans that support delivering all the promised value of the deal.
- Form and lead the cross-functional team to create a detailed integration project plan.
- Through a regular cadence of 1-on-1 meetings and team teleconferences, manage the project to keep the milestones on track and, using sound judgment and excellent teamwork skills, address any issues.
- Regularly report progress, escalating issues, if necessary, to the client's Integration management (Responsible for managing timelines, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, and identifying resource constraints, and reporting progress for each project)
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business M&A goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
- Partner and participate in a variety of process and program development areas as the Corporate Development function continues to build out the tools and frameworks.
- At the project's conclusion, lead retrospective analysis to improve our M&A playbooks for the next deal.
- Defines the overall strategy and objectives for a group of projects to compile a program
- Communicates the program strategy and objectives to the project team resources and ensures that individual project goals continually align with the overall business goals and objectives.
- Links and sequences individual projects within a program considering their inter-dependencies.
- Identifies activities common to the component projects to ensure that project teams do not duplicate work efforts across projects within the program.
- Coordinates multiple work streams to include team members from various disciplines to meet the overarching business goals and objectives of the program.
- Consolidates and reports accomplishments, milestones, risks, issues, decisions from individual projects at the program level to Project Sponsors / Steering Committee.
- Establishes appropriate mechanism and tools for measuring the benefits of the program
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years’ experience as a Program Manager, leading programs through the full life cycle
- 2+ years’ experience managing or playing a major role in corporate programs (including systems projects) preferred
- 5+ years business experience required, experience in broker-dealer or investment firm strongly preferred
- Experience building and managing program forecasts and budgets
- Experience working on and managing multiple projects at a time of varying size (team members and budget)
- Program resource plan knowledge
