We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney! This role sits in the DCP organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with Licensing and Publishing from across the company. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Manager, Technology. About The Role & Team: · Our team under Technology & Digital at Disney Experiences supports leading licensing and publishing operations, encompassing a range of products from toys to digital games and applications, including the world's largest children's publisher. The team manages various SaaS and proprietary applications across different technologies. What You’ll Do: · May lead small projects encompassing analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, or Internet-related computer programs · Responsible for performing testing and debugging of applications · Code may be used in commercial and end-user applications or focus on software and tools supporting infrastructure and technology platforms · Code at the component level · Work typically involves large or highly sophisticated software programs and systems · Possess a proven understanding of current programming language and technologies, with strong skills in writing code and completing programming tasks · Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications · Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, improvements, and/or new systems and applications · Design and develop highly scalable software systems and applications · You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies Required Qualifications: · Minimum 5 years of related work experience · Comfortable working in an agile environment · Proficiency in Java and full stack development, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologies · Bachelor's or foreign equivalent Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience Preferred Qualifications: · Experience working on large scale enterprise B2B systems · Experience working with SaaS solutions · Familiarity with the entire web stack · Experience with localization and accessibility · Experience maintaining a full-stack development environment with technologies including JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML, Java, Node.js, and SQL · MuleSoft experience is desirable · Experience with the Adobe suite of applications is preferred · Experience working with Global teams across a wide range of time zones · Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing code quality standards Required Education: Job Posting Segment: Technology & Digital Job Posting Primary Business: Tech Delivery, Platforms, & Core Systems Primary Job Posting Category: Software Engineer Employment Type: Full time Primary City, State, Region, Postal Code: Orlando, FL, USA Alternate City, State, Region, Postal Code: Date Posted: 2024-11-11 #J-18808-Ljbffr
